Q&A with Kerry

Q: Tell us a bit about your background - what brought you to Kira, and why did this opportunity resonate with you?

Kerry: I’ve spent my career blending strategy, finance, and operations—driving efficiency, improving how teams collaborate, and building systems that help organizations make smarter decisions. After several years at Deloitte and Goldman Sachs, I realized I wanted to bring my skills to a mission-driven company where the work directly supports learning experiences. Kira’s mission to empower teachers and students through AI-driven learning deeply resonated with me, and the opportunity to help shape the customer experience that enables that impact felt like the perfect next step.

Q: What are you most excited about as you start your journey here?

Kerry: I’m excited to dive into Kira’s product and understand how teachers and students use it in and out of the classroom. I’m especially looking forward to working closely with our customers, gathering their feedback, and translating those insights into improvements that make both the product and learning even more accessible and impactful.

Q: What’s something interesting or unique about you that your new colleagues might be surprised to learn?

Kerry: I’ve become obsessed with learning tennis lately (still a work in progress!), but I’m committed.

Q: How do you see your role contributing to Kira’s mission of transforming education through AI?

Kerry: My role bridges customer success, sales, and business operations to connect what we build internally with what teachers and students experience through the product. By developing scalable processes and turning customer feedback into actionable insights, I hope to help the team make informed decisions that expand our reach and strengthen how AI enhances personalized learning.

Q: When you’re not working, what do you love doing? Any hobbies, interests, or passion projects you’d like to share?

Kerry: When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me trying new restaurants and coffee shops around NYC, or doing Pilates and running in Central Park. I also love to travel and explore new places, especially anywhere with a great beach or mountains.

Kerry’s focus on scalable, human-centered systems aligns with how Kira supports teachers: unifying planning, instruction, feedback, and insights in one place, while keeping educators in control and students at the center.
