Kira Events

Kira will have a vendor table throughout the event to share exciting updates with teachers and administrators. We are partnering with a teacher in TN on a short presentation to discuss the way they have integrated Kira into their school system, and how Kira has been able to save their district money while meeting the new state requirements.

Kira is rolling out some platform updates this summer that we know teachers will be very excited about! In this webinar, we want to give you a preview of the new AI tools and other platform features that teachers will be able to use in the next school year to make their work lives easier, and improve student engagement and learning! In this session, we’ll explore the course outline for this new course, where students learn to create code that controls the behavior of Finch Robots. We’ll see how the Finch Robot responds to students’ code commands! This course can be offered to MS students after they take our Intro to Computational Thinking course (or equivalent), or to HS students after a beginning Python course.

In this interactive session, we’ll explore the scope, sequence, and standards alignment for Kira's first elementary school offering. We’ll also explore programming with an animated platypus figure and unplugged activities, and demo computer science activities for teachers’ classrooms.

In this session, we’ll outline Kira’s new course that will satisfy the TN state standards for the CS HS graduation requirement, with a less coding-intensive approach.

Join us to review content from Unit 6 of our High School course! We will code along and review major concepts from the unit to prepare you to teach your students.
