Meet Laura Loudamy: Regional Sales Director
We’re excited to welcome Laura Loudamy, Regional Sales Director, to Kira. With more than a decade partnering with K–12 districts, Laura brings a deep focus on teacher needs, practical implementation, and long-term relationships. Get to know her in this quick Q&A.
Q&A with Laura
Tell us a bit about your background—what brought you to Kira, and why did this opportunity resonate with you?
I’ve spent more than a decade working with K–12 districts to adapt technology that supports teachers and students, most recently at Wayground (formerly Quizizz) and as a founding member of the sales team at Remind. Kira stood out because it’s tackling one of the biggest challenges in education right now: using AI in ways that are helpful, responsible, and aligned to classroom realities. I’m excited to help grow Kira’s footprint and to be part of bringing the next generation of edtech to market in a way that truly supports educators and students.
What are you most excited about as you start your journey here?
I’ve been incredibly impressed by everyone I’ve met so far and am truly excited to be part of the team. Having the unique opportunity to attend FETC on my first day was especially energizing. The enthusiasm from both the team and the educators was inspiring. I’m thrilled to join a mission-driven company at a moment where I can immediately contribute to Kira’s growth and trajectory.
What’s something interesting or unique about yourself that your new colleagues might be surprised to learn?
I am an insanely proud mom (whose daughters live way more interesting lives). My oldest daughter, Lane, will graduate from the University of Texas this May and is embarking on a 70-day, 4,000-mile bike ride from Austin to Anchorage with Texas 4000, a UT student-led organization raising awareness and funds in the fight against cancer.
My youngest daughter, Kate, will be graduating from high school this spring and will attend Washington University in St. Louis in the fall, where she’ll join their women’s soccer team (back-to-back D3 National Champs).
Watching their passion, discipline, and willingness to chase big goals inspires me every day. They’re also a big reason I’m drawn to edtech. I’ve seen firsthand how impactful educators can be in shaping confidence, curiosity, and determination, and that continues to motivate my work.
How do you see your role contributing to Kira’s mission of transforming education through AI?
I see my role as translating Kira’s AI vision into real impact for educators and students. By partnering closely with schools and districts and earning trust, I can help scale Kira in ways that empower teachers, support students, and thoughtfully shape how AI is used in classrooms.
When you’re not working, what do you love doing? Any hobbies, interests, or passion projects you’d like to share?
I’m an avid runner and love the outdoors. Austin’s urban trail and greenbelt system makes it easy and fun to explore. I also have a very determined dog who insists that daily runs and walks are non-negotiable! When the Texas heat ramps up, we escape to the mountains to trade pavement for trails and spend our time hiking, trail running, and soaking up fresh air.
We’re thrilled to have Laura on the team and can’t wait to see the partnerships she builds with districts and educators. If you’re exploring AI that saves time and strengthens instruction, say hello to Laura and the Kira team—we’d love to connect.
