Meet Lauren Albert: Regional Sales Director

Q&A with Lauren

Tell us a bit about your background—what brought you to Kira, and why did this opportunity resonate with you?

My path to Kira has been shaped by a blend of classroom experience, EdTech leadership, and a deep belief that teachers deserve tools that truly support and not replace them. I began my career in K–5 education as a 4th grade classroom teacher before transitioning into EdTech, where I’ve spent the past several years working across sales from companies in higher education and K–12 education.

What drew me to Kira was its thoughtful approach to AI in education. Rather than positioning AI as a shortcut or a novelty, Kira is clearly focused on helping educators work smarter while preserving the heart of teaching. Not to mention, every time that I spoke with someone about the role, their excitement about Kira made me even more excited!

What are you most excited about as you start your journey here?

I’m most excited about collaborating with a team that is both mission-driven and deeply connected to the realities of schools. I'm excited to be able to help provide ways to enhance education for both schools and students! The fact that I'll be able to meet new teammates and learn from them is an even bigger added plus to my own personal growth!

What’s something interesting or unique about yourself that your new colleagues might be surprised to learn?

Outside of EdTech, I’m a longtime color guard and dance coach for a high school program—19 years to be exact! That creative, coaching mindset carries directly into my professional work, even if it shows up in unexpected ways.

How do you see your role contributing to Kira’s mission of transforming education through AI?

I see my role as helping bridge the gap between powerful technology and practical classroom use. Transforming education through AI isn’t just about what the tool can do, it’s about how clearly educators understand its value and how confidently they can integrate it into their workflows. By focusing on clarity, empathy, and real-world application, I hope to help districts adopt Kira in a way that feels empowering rather than overwhelming.

When you’re not working, what do you love doing? Any hobbies, interests, or passion projects you’d like to share?

Coaching has become a very serious hobby over the years, but I’m also working toward a long-term goal of writing a children’s book—combining my love of storytelling, education, and dogs all into one. And then there’s Luna, my dog, my copilot, and my most loyal coffee-shop companion. She firmly believes car rides exist solely for the purpose of acquiring pup cups, and she takes her role very seriously. If there’s a drive-thru involved, she’s in. Those little coffee runs with Luna are some of my favorite ways to unplug and reset.

We can’t wait to see the relationships Lauren builds with schools and districts. If you’re exploring AI that saves time and strengthens instruction, say hello to Lauren and the Kira team—we’d love to connect.
