We’re excited to welcome Tracy Rahman, VP of Marketing, to Kira. Tracy brings deep experience building growth engines for B2B SaaS companies, along with a strong belief in the power of education to create opportunity. Get to know her in this quick Q&A.
Tell us a bit about your background—what brought you to Kira, and why did this opportunity resonate with you?
My career has been dedicated to building growth engines for B2B SaaS companies, most recently in the MarTech and FinTech space. While I’ve always been passionate about bringing innovative technologies to market and helping define new categories, I was drawn to Kira for a deeper reason: the chance to apply that same high-growth rigor to a mission I connect with personally.
As AI literacy becomes more important across every sector, Kira is solving for that shift in education at a global scale. Kira isn’t just another EdTech company. It is building the infrastructure for AI-powered education for a new generation. After meeting a leadership team that is as caring and mission-driven as it is sharp, and seeing the strength of the product itself, joining Kira felt like a natural next step.
What are you most excited about as you start your journey here?
I’m energized by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in EdTech and to help customers improve student outcomes through AI-driven learning. It’s also an exciting time to join Kira as the company continues to grow quickly. The platform is already incredibly robust and distinct in the market, and I’m excited to focus on building the go-to-market engine that can turn that innovation into sustainable, global growth.
What’s something interesting or unique about yourself that your new colleagues might be surprised to learn?
I started my career in the nonprofit sector at an economic development organization. While I didn’t come up through a traditional teaching path like many of my colleagues, I did spend my evenings teaching a class for local entrepreneurs who were starting their own businesses. That experience gave me a firsthand view into how transformative the right educational support can be, and it’s something that still shapes how I think about this work today.
How do you see your role contributing to Kira’s mission of transforming education through AI?
AI-powered education is the future of learning, and its strength lies in how it empowers the educator. Kira offers a comprehensive platform with AI as a copilot, giving teachers and administrators a transparent, end-to-end solution they can trust. My role is to make sure that value is communicated clearly and that Kira reaches more classrooms, teachers, and students, regardless of geography.
When you’re not working, what do you love doing? Any hobbies, interests, or passion projects you’d like to share?
My current passion project is raising my two young children and seeing the world through their eyes. My son and daughter were both born in Los Angeles, so as a native East Coaster who recently moved back to the NYC area, I’ve loved introducing them to everything the city has to offer. Outside of family time, I love good food and traveling, and I’ve recently gotten back into reading and am doing my best to keep up with my book club.
We’re thrilled to have Tracy on the team and can’t wait to see the impact she’ll have as Kira continues to grow. As more schools look for thoughtful, practical ways to bring AI into teaching and learning, Tracy will help more educators discover what’s possible with Kira.
